#1 - Meet Sarah Frustié Therapy: How I am?

This article discusses

  1. Welcome to my website

  2. Self-introduction

  3. Tell me about you!

Hello beautiful people.

Thank you immensely if you are reading this.

My first published article!

First things first! Let me introduce some parts of myself.

If you are here, it’s surely for a reason. Or you already know me? Or you are curious about “that girl!” Any reason you are here with me today makes me deeply grateful.

So thank you again and let’s start this wonderful journey!

I am Sarah. Originally from France, I grew up in a multicultural family and country. I fell in love with the “being with” industry in 2015 when I was working with the French Red Cross, assisting refugees and people experiencing homelessness. I then quickly decided to train myself in the industry and I became a humanitarian and social worker. It wasn’t enough.

I wanted to explore the world and open my mind. I wanted to discover other people’s lifestyles and cultures. I wanted to be moved, shaken and to learn from others’ differences. Hence, I decided to leave France in 2017.  I’ve been travelling and working in a few countries since. I mostly travelled alone with a backpack, a few shirts and a few books. I particularly appreciated Southern Asia where I lived for one year with an NGO in the education sector.

But I decided to settle in Australia and be part of this wonderful land. I’m slowly finishing my Bachelors in Counseling and Integrative Psychotherapy in South Australia. In the meantime, I am also graduating from an advanced course in ecotherapy (deep ecopsychology field). I currently live in the Adelaide Hills Area, South Australia.

Being with people and the natural world is what makes me alive. I find so much passion, enjoyment, learning and understanding in working with people. I believe that we are here together to support each other and work together towards a simpler but more profound reconnection to the natural world, hence, a greater, better, truer and deeper sense of self - what we can call our Home. A more authentic, loving and soft self.

Psychotherapy is a deeper part of my work so far. I want to experience this deepness with people and more-than-human intelligence.

Thanks to my life experiences and professional endeavours, I realised that the world is deeply sick. This madness has separated humans from the natural world. Working together towards relinking ourselves to nature will create easiness, softness and comfort in the long run.

At the moment, I am not registered yet as a therapist as I am finishing  my degree  in counselling and psychotherapy. But I am working on getting registered as a holistic, integrative and eco-counsellor.

Writing has been a therapeutic and healing practice since I was 15 years old. That’s why I wanted to create this website to support my own growth practice and share my worldviews and perceptions with you. Later down the track, I would love to welcome people into my therapeutic space, indoors and outdoors. Then, everyone will be able to book online and/or face-to-face appointments via the website.

I will be nourishing this project weekly.  I will be sharing some articles - a blog - that I call “stories” but also some poetry and other resources.

By creating this website in 2024, I am hoping to gather open-minded and loving souls who are willing to share their own worldviews. By sharing my personal, emotional, professional and spiritual stories/experiences, I am hoping to create a non-judgmental and empowered community where healing and growth happen.

You will quickly understand that I like to finish each article with a section called “Tell me about!”

It’s time for you to introduce yourself if you want to and feel comfortable and safe to do so. I would love to hear from you!

How could you introduce yourself in a few sentences?

How do you perceive yourself?

I’m sending you pure and genuine love, filled with light and warmth.

Take care of your whole self, each other, and your community.

Nurture and be mindful of the natural world around you and within you.
